GENERAL COMMENTS
The "We Believe" series of textbooks, developed by the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America in the 1980s, has been the preeminent religious education and Sunday School books of the entire Armenian Church for the past thirty years. The series, of which this volume is for Grade 8, begins with Pre-School and continues to Grade 10, for a comprehensive Sunday School education. As seen in the Table of Contents, the material covers church history, Armenian history, liturgy, Armenian (religious) literature, and more. The "We Believe" series was the first of its kind, used beyond the Eastern Diocese in the English-speaking world and emulated in other parts of the Diaspora for the development of local curricula in other languages. Elise Antreassian was the project coordinator, and was assisted by many others at the Diocese, as seen in the publishing information (which also includes the list of the full curriculum).
