GENERAL COMMENTS
This is one of the few narratives of the genocide by someone who was witness to many of the events he described, complementing his story with that of others; he documented the events between 1915 and 1918; Introduction by the author (Za`feran Monastery, 5 Sept. 1918). Later Dutch and German translations were made of this early eye witness account.
