CONTENT DESCRIPTION
The booklet is part of a series on the lives of the saints venerated in the Coptic Orthodox Church, and this part focuses on Saint Marina, known as St. Marina the Ascetic or St. Marina the Monk, who disguised as a man in order to live a monastic life. She is highly venerated among Copts.

GENERAL COMMENTS
In some sources, the saint is known as Mary or Mariam. It is not clear from which language the text was translated, but most probably it was from English. The date is also unknown, but the latest possible year must have been 2012, since there is a photo of Pope Shenouda III, who passed away in 2012. The booklet, like other hagiographies which are part of the same series, is meant to be a complementary educational and informative material for children. For example, children learn about important saints of the Coptic Church in the Sunday schools, so reading a short booklet written in a simple language would help them solidify their knowledge about certain saints.
