CONTENT DESCRIPTION
Collection of hymns, mostly for the liturgy/prayer but also 'national' (umthonoyotho) hyms; interesting collection of a variety of authors (see comments). The 3rd (2016) and 2nd (2012) edition have been attested, the 1st not yet.

GENERAL COMMENTS
Collection of hymns intended to make it easier for youth to participate in the liturgy, cf. comments by dayroyo (monk) Nahir (the author) who writes in the introduction about the beauty of singing, quoting Bar `Ebroyo and Jacob of Sarugh; most interesting is the collection of 'national/patriotic' hymns (zmirotho umtonoyotho) who are mostly attributed to specific authors, many of which are clergy, bishops, monks etc. At the end is a list of sources which reflect a wide transnational network, starting from the late 19th c. till the early 21st c. The 3rd edition has some additional hymns and includes a reference to a YouTube channel where a number of the hymns are sung. Note that the booklets are in A6 format - easy to carry for usage both at home and in church or communal gatherings.
