GENERAL COMMENTS
Tr. from revised edition 2013 (Usborne Publishing; 1st.ed. 1979); at the back there are wordlists with parallel columns for Syriac, transcription, German, English, French, Swedish and Dutch Preface in small print [2] (page with colophon) thanks teacher [malfono] Murat Can who translated the book from the source language [leshono shershoyo] to Dutch and malfono Dersamy Ayden [?] to Swedish. Although many words can also be read as Classical Syriac, all running sentences (in Syriac script and in latinized script) are in the modern vernacular.
