The radio broadcasts were given in 1994-1995, and the text was only minimally modified from the transcripts of the broadcasts. After the Preface and a general "Introudction to Armenian Sacred Art," which also includes some broad Armenian history, chapters cover: "Churches of the 4th and 5th Centuries"; "Domed Cross-in-Square Churches" (Two Parts); "The Commemoration of the Birth of Gomidas Vartabed"; "Mosaics"; "Frescoes"; "Rugs and Curtains"; "Reliquaries"; "The St. Hripsime Church"; "Zvartnots". Several plans and drawings of churches and some pictures of reliquaries follow. Inclues a bibliography.
