GENERAL COMMENTS
Modest edition of the evening vespers and the Sunday liturgy for the Easter Feast as produced in Stockholm for the Assyrian Church of the East. Both texts are in Classical Syriac, with the preface by bishop Mar Odisho in the modern language (Sureth). Note that this also includes the sugitha of the Robber and the Thief, usually read/performed at Easter Monday. According to the introduction the prayers are put 'one after another' to make it easier for the 'readers' - instead of the traditional juggling between books that contain the proper (fixed liturgy) and those that contain the hymns & prayers for the specific occasion.
