prayers & hymns for various occasions

GENERAL COMMENTS
Nicely done hard cover book with prayers (for priests & deacons) for a variety of occasions - varying from the Sunday liturgy (quddasha da-shlihe - liturgy of the Apostles) to various burial rites. The volume (A5 format) is preceded by an introduction by bishop Mar Abdisho (Odisho). Apparently this is the volume's 2nd edition. According to the introduction the bishop's aim was to include as much as possible in one volume; thus it being easy to carry also when the priest and deacons have to go to another city; and easy to use, not moving back and forth through the pages. Note that while most is in CS, some parts are in Sureth: in the Baptism rite, the reading from the Apostles and the Gospel, and in the marriage rite (ܛܟܣܐ ܕܒܘܪܟܐ); see the separate introduction (246-251, rite: 252-287)
