CONTENT DESCRIPTION
This is the seventh part (out of ten) of the series about lives of Coptic saints and martyrs. This part covers the stories of St. George the Roman, St. George of Alexandria and of St. George the New Martyr, known as El Mozahem.

GENERAL COMMENTS
In the series title and in the preface, the author states that the books/series are meant for young adults, children of Coptic immigrants. Eskander stresses out that the books are written in an "attractive" style so they can easily convey the saints' activities, virtues and "their strife against Satanic temptations". The author adds that these stories and accounts should serve young adults and teenagers as a guide for a happy and successful life in the modern society. It is not clear whether the book is a translation, but the fact that it is meant for the Copts outside Egypt suggests that it is possible that it was originally written in English. Besides its status as the main lingua franca around the world, majority of the Copts outside Egypt indeed live in the English-speaking countries. Another possible spelling of the author's name is Michael Maxi Eskander (as noted on the front cover).
