GENERAL COMMENTS
In his introduction, Bishop Mettaos emphasizes that understanding the liturgy is very important and his explanations will hopefully aid the believer in that. He adds that knowing and understanding the elements of the Divine Liturgy, such as prayers, melodies, and various customs, will help the believer pray with both his/her spirit and mind.
