GENERAL COMMENTS
A translation into French of a selection of writings by Catholicos Karekin I Sarkissian, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin from 1994-1999 and previously Karekin II Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia (1983–1994). The book includes Catholicos Karekin I's first encyclical as Catholicos (with a reproduction of the official Armenian original) and a selection of his various sermons and writings. Catholicos Karekin I was an acknowledged scholar and ecumenist. This selection of writings also appears in English and his writings have been published and translated extensively.
