GENERAL COMMENTS
Introduction to the life and veneration of "St. David the Armenian Pilgrim," interred at the Chiesa di San Michele in Foro in Lucca, Italy. In Italian, the publication was realized by the joint efforts of the Lions Club Lucca Le Mura, the Parrocchia dei santi Michele, Paolino e Alessando, the Comunità Parrocchiale del Centro Storico di Lucca, with contribution from the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca. Includes an introduction by Giovanni Mei, the President of the Lucca Lions Club, an introduction by Don Lucio Malanca of the Parish of St. Michele, and a note on the paleoanthropolgical work on the body of St. David by Gino Fornaciari.
St. David the Armenian was a medieval pilgrim who died in Lucca in Italy and was subsequently declared a saint and reinterred at the Chiesa di San Michele in Lucca. The book gives all the relevant history and background about St. David, his placement in the church, and the veneration of the saint.
