CONTENT DESCRIPTION
The Fenqitho is a collection of liturgical texts for the church year according to the rite of the Syriac Orthodox Church. This book is the first of three parts and is about the Consecration of the Church

GENERAL COMMENTS
This three part edition of the festal breviary (fenqitho) contains hymns (sugitho), prayer (sedro) for all Sundays of the yearly cycle. The distinctive feature of these editions is the convenient size of the books and the division of the Syriac church year into three parts. It includes in the first part the beginning of the church year with the consecration of the church, and the second part includes the forty-day fast and Holy Week, and the last part the Resurrection. For reasons of space only the Sundays of the ecclesiastical year are listed in the fenqitho.
